The Institute of Experimental Physics and Technology was established at the turn of the year of 1992/93 on the basis of the former Department of Experimental Physics, Department of General Physics, Air Electricity Laboratory and Laboratory of Electroluminescence and Semiconductors.

The staff of the Institute is involved
in teaching of basic courses of electricity and magnetism, optics, introduction
to physical measurements. A substantial part of the syllabus belongs to
the lecture courses on principles of electronics, fundamentals of signal
processing, digital signal processing, computer hardware principles, computer
architecture, computer electronics, microprocessors and microprocessor
technology, and principles of telecommunication.
