RESEARCH

The research fields of the Chair of Optics and Spectroscopy is determined by the target financed project 'Optical and spectroscopic investigation of interaction of radiation, plasma and solid state' (2001-2005) and carried out mainly at the Laboratory of Gas Discharges. The laboratory deals with the fundamental problems of high pressure gas discharges and applications in the field of plasma and laser technology.

The main research fields of the Chair of Applied Physics is determined by the target finance project in two directions:

The main research field of the Chair of Wave Optics (prof. Peeter Saari) is the ultrafast phenomena in wave optics, the research program is carried out at the Institute of Physics.
