Education:

1990 - 1995: Student in Department of Physics of Tartu University with specialization in environmental physics. Graduation thesis: "Modeling of Midlatitude Atmosphere Circulation using Two-Level Quasigeostrophic Model with Temperature and Ground Surface Pressure as Prognostic fields".

1995 - 1997: M.Sc.student in Institute of Environmental Physics at Tartu University. Master thesis: "Water Transport and Phase Transitions in Numerical Mesomodels of Atmosphere".

1997 - 2003: Ph.D.student in Institute of Environmental Physics at Tartu University. PhD thesis: "Implementation and Validation of the Nonhydrostatic Adiabatic Core of the Numerical Weather Prediction Model HIRLAM".

Employment:

2002 till now: Research fellow in Institute of Environmental Physics at Tartu University. Research topic: nonhydrostatic models of atmosphere.

Training courses:

8 January - 7 February 1996: European Research Course on Atmospheres in Grenoble, France.

19 - 29 October 1998: HIRLAM training workshop in Riga, Latvia.

Research visits to Finnish Meteorological Institute.
